Patient Procedures During Covid-19

Visiting First State Health & Wellness Offices:

Stay home if you are sick

  • As a medical facility, we have increased the frequency of our daily practices of diligently sanitizing our offices, equipment and common areas.
  • If you have signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, fever and shortness of breath) please consult with your medical provider prior to any appointment with First State. If any patient presents with symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath, or has been exposed to someone exhibiting these symptoms, they will be asked to reschedule.
  • Please be extra vigilant if you have traveled to or have come in contact with people who have traveled to the following countries—China, Italy, Japan, and South Korea.
  • Please limit bringing companions unnecessarily into the office
  • Be mindful of respiratory etiquette—cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw it in the trash can. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds when you first come in from public spaces, after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

If you are scheduled but concerned about coming into the office, please call the front desk when you arrive in the parking lot and we will escort you directly into a private treatment room at the time of your appointment.
